Active Together is a student-led anti-racism project, previously funded and supported by the Education Incubator at the University of Exeter from 2020-2021. Founder of Active Together Rhianna Garrett experienced racism within her own sports clubs and found this was a shared experience with many other students due to racial microaggressions and a lack of belonging within the space. Along with three other students, Active Together was formed to implement a zero-tolerance policy towards racism and racial microaggressions in sports clubs and societies.

To achieve this, Active Together implemented Diversity, Inclusion, Cohesion, and Equity (DICE) champions who were funded to attend a 4-week online training course designed by Diversity Trust and consultancy BCohoCo, and compensated with the Exeter Award for the hours they put in. Active Together has teamed up with Iman Khan, committee chairperson of the Postgraduate Social and Support Network to bring the project to Loughborough to create an actively anti-racist Athletics Union (AU) for both Loughborough Midlands and Loughborough London.
